Thursdays, 17.00-20.00 (every two weeks), room 17
The aim of this seminar is to analyse the crisis of the notion of ‘state’ in the context of European integration. We will focus on the categories traditionally associated with ‘state’, such as founding myth, sovereignty, constitution and political identity. We will try to discover how a new European perspective redefines these notions and whether it indeed leads to the decomposition of the idea of ‘state’ or to a change in the model of political conduct of states.
